Track – 1: Glaucoma
Glaucoma is a group of eye conditions which damages the optic nerve, the health of which is vital for good vision. Glaucoma is a social event of related eye issue which mischief to the optic nerve which passes on information from eye to cerebrum. In its starting periods, glaucoma has no reactions, which is what and makes it so dangerous when you see issues with your sight; the disease has progressed to the point that irreversible vision and might.

Track – 2: Cataract
Cloudy area which structures the eye’s basic focal point is called as Cataract. It makes at bit by bit and at last it starts interfering with the vision. People may finish up with Cataracts in the two eyes, yet they often don’t shape meanwhile. Water is an improbable typical subject to be discussed in the Ophthalmology Conferences. As a rule, the finding of water is authentically basic. Be that as it may, in the pre-birth populace, in spite of the fact that analysis is mortal and it is more annoying? Ultrasounds have demonstrated a engrossing strategy to distinguish water in unborn youngsters. It is basically identified early if present as water in infants can bring about visual impairment forever if not treated accurately and rapidly not long after birth.
- Quit Smoking
- Wear Sunglasses
- Reduce alcohol use
Track – 3: Color Blindness
Color blindness (color vision deficiency) is the decreased ability to see color or moderation in color. It can be a issue doing everyday jobs like choosing ripe fruit, choosing clothing, and reading traffic lights. Color blindness can also create some educational activities more complicated. However, difficulties are often slight, and most color-blind people adapt. Individuals with full color blindness (achromatopsia) may also feel unbearable in summery environments and have decreased visual activity.
- Achromatopsia
- Monochromacy
- Dichromacy
Track – 4: Ophthalmic Genetics and Gene Therapy
Gene therapy is an exploratory technique which employs genes to cure or prevent diseases. In near future, this technique may involve a doctor replacing the mutated gene with a healthy copy of gene to the patient in order to cure the abnormalities rather of surgery or drugs. Ophthalmic genetics is a branch of ophthalmology which mentions where the genetic background of disease is investigated. Leber Congenital Amaraius(LCA) is a hereditary genetic disease causes childhood blindness. Scientists and doctors treated this disease with the help of gene therapy.

Track – 5: Eye Floaters
Eye floaters are spots in your vision. They might look to you like black or gray specks, strings, or cobwebs that float about when you move your eyes and seem to dart away when you try to look at them directly. Most eye floaters are caused by age-related changes which occur as jelly-like substance (vitreous) inside your eyes becomes more liquid. Microscopic fibers within the vitreous tend to cluster and can cast tiny shadows on your retina. The shadows which you are seeing are called floaters. If you notice a sudden expansion in eye floaters, contact an eye specialist immediately mostly if you also see light flashes or loses your peripheral vision. These can be symptoms of an emergency that requires prompt observation.
Symptoms of Eye Floaters:
- Black or gray dots
- Squiggly lines
- Threadlike strands, which can be knobby and almost see-through
- Cobwebs
- Rings
Track – 6: Vision Therapy
Vision therapy (VT) is an umbrella term for a change of alternative medicine treatments based around eye exercises, which have not shown to be successful using scientific studies. The treatments claim to heal convergence inadequacy and an extent of neurological, educational, and spatial difficulties. Vision therapy can be authorized when a exhaustive eye examination specify that it is a relevant treatment option. The specific program of therapy is established on the results of standardized tests and the person's signs and symptoms. Programs generally require eye exercises and the use of lenses, filters, prisms, specialized instruments, occluders and computer programs.

- Ambylopia (lazy eye)
Track – 7: Retina and Retinal Detachment
The retina is the innermost, light-sensitive layer of tissue of the eye of most of the vertebrates and some molluscs. The optics of the eye creates a focused two-dimensional image of the visual world on the retina, which translates that image into electrical neural impulses to the brain to produce visual perception. Retinal detachment is a significant eye condition that happens when your retina a layer of tissue at the back of your eye that processes light pulls away from the tissue around it. Doctors also call it detached retina. Since your retina can't work properly when this happens, you could have continuing vision loss if you don’t get it treated right away.
- Flashes of light
- Lots of new "floaters"
- Darkness or a “curtain” over your vision, including the middle or the sides
Track – 8: Pediatric Ophthalmology
Pediatric Ophthalmology refers to diagnosis and Surgery of eye disorders, specially in children. The scope for the research in field is high because of the treatment modalities and the protocols differ entirely from that the elderly. The diseases affecting of the pediatric vision includes Genetic eye diseases, pediatric uveitis, developmental abnormalities and more. There are so many genetic diseases that need and most concern during the early stage. Amblyopia is a infection which happens because of the reduced vision in eye which has not received adequate while during early childhood. The symptoms include the tilting of the head and poor depth in perception of the improper movements of the eye.

As an ocular oncology is the highly specialized field of ophthalmology, and there is an active international and collaboration between ocular oncologists. Ocular oncology is the multidisciplinary service which includes general oncologists, pediatric oncologists, specialist nurses, clinical scientists and many others. The most regularly malignancies include u veal and conjunctivitis melanoma, u veal metastasis, intra ocular and conjunctiva lymphoma and conjunctiva carcinoma. Diagnosis is based on the bio microscopic, ultrasonography, angiography, and optical coherence tomography, auto fluorescence imaging and biopsy. The most regular benign tumors include naive, chordal haemangioma . Many of these lessons require treatment and/or long-term surveillance. Eyelid and orbital tumors are most likely to be managed within oculo plastic or orbital specialist services.

Track – 10: Thyroid Eye Disease or Graves Eye Disease
Graves' eye disease is also known as the thyroid eye disease, and an auto-immune condition in which the immune cells attack the thyroid gland which responds by secreting an excess amount of thyroid hormone. As the result, the thyroid gland enlarges and the excess hormones increase metabolism. The hyper-metabolic state is characterized by fast pulse heartbeat, profuse sweating, irritability, high blood pressure, fatigue, weight loss, palpitations, heat intolerance, and loss of hair and alterations in hair quality. When the immune system attacks the tissues around the eyes, it causes the eye muscles or fatty to expand. The eyes are the particularly vulnerable to Graves' eye disease, because of the autoimmune attack often targets the eye muscles and the connective tissue within eye socket. This likely occurs because of these tissues contain proteins that appear similar to the immune system as those of the thyroid gland.
In Graves’ eye disease the tissue around the eye is attacked, and the result is inflammation and swelling, causing:
- Redness and pain
- Puffiness around the eyes
- Bulging of the eyes
- Dry eye and irritation, occurring when the eyelids cannot close completely over bulging eyes
Track – 11: Corneal Disorders
Eye is a composed of very thin and sensitive the fragile tissues and every part of an eye serves and its own function to maintain its normal vision. The cornea is the clear front of the part of eye and that covers the iris, pupil, and anterior chamber. The Cornea, with the anterior chamber and lens, refracts light; with the cornea accounting for approximately two to three of the eye’s and total optical power. But the factors such as a drug-induced epithelial keratitis, epithelial keratitis & corneal re generation, and the corneal ulceration, recurrent corneal erosion and miscellaneous corneal disorders can affect the cornea and ultimately lead to the external eye disease that could end up with permanent blindness.
- Corneal ulceration
- Corneal transplantation
- Corneal neovascularization
- Corneal degeneration
Track – 12: Diabetic Retinopathy
Diabetic retinopathy is known as diabetic eye disease which is a medical condition in which the damage occurs to retina due to diabetes mellifluous and it is a leading cause of blindness in developed countries. Diabetic retinopathy affects up to the 80% of those who have the diabetes for 20 years and more. At least 90% of the new cases could be reduced with in proper treat and monitoring of the eyes. The longer of a person has diabetes, the higher his or her chances of developing diabetic retinopathy. Every year in the United States diabetic retinopathy accounts for 12% of all new cases of blindness. It is also the leading cause of the blindness in the people at aged 20 to 64.
- Blurred vision
- Impaired color vision
- patches or streaks that block the person’s vision
- poor night vision
- a sudden and total loss of vision
Track – 13: Strabismus
Strabismus is a failure of two eyes to the proper maintains alignment and togetherness of work as a team. One eye turns upwards, inwards, outwards, or downwards, while the other one focuses at the one spot. This typically happens as a result of muscles that the management the movement of the attention and therefore the protective and the fold, extra ocular muscles, aren't operating along.
There are different types of strabismus
- Hypertropia is once the eye turns upwards
- Hypotropia is once the eye turns downwardly
- Esotropia is once the eye turns inwards
- Exotropia is once the eye turns outward
Track – 14: Refractive Surgery
Refractive eye surgery is a non-essential and the eye surgery and it used to improve the refractive state of an eye and decrease or eliminate dependency on glasses contact lenses. This can be include various methods of the surgical remodeling of the cornea keratitis, lens it implantation or lens replacement. The most common method today we use exciter lasers to reshape the curvature of the cornea. Successfully refractive eye surgery is can reduce or cure the common vision disorders such as hypertrophy, myopia, presbyopia and astigmatism. It involves removing a corneal layer, freezing it so that it could be manually sculpted into the required shape, and finally re-implanting the re shaped layer into the eye. The laceration is made with a diamond knife.

Track – 15: Neuro-Ophthalmology
Neuro-Ophthalmology is the solidification of nervous system science and ophthalmology, as often as possible overseeing complex foundational afflictions that have signs in the visual structure. Cerebral Visual Impairment fuses each and every visual brokenness made by damage to, or separating of, the retro chiasmatic visual pathways without mischief to the first visual pathways or any huge visual sickness. Vision issues can portrayed as the diminished and capacity to see things. There are numerous assortments of eye issues and vision aggravations, nearsightedness, coronas, obscured vision and so on the weakened vision or vision issues will decrease the sharpness of pictures. It for the most part hampers the day by day exercises of an individual.

Track – 17: Conjunctivitis
Conjunctivitis, or pink eye, is a bothering or aggravation of the conjunctiva, which covers the white piece of the eyeball. It very well may be brought about by sensitivities or a bacterial or viral contamination. Conjunctivitis can be incredibly infectious and is spread by contact with eye emissions from somebody who is tainted. Manifestations incorporate redness, tingling and tearing of the eyes. It can likewise prompt release or crusting around the eyes. Quit wearing contact focal points while influenced by conjunctivitis. It frequently settles all alone, yet treatment can speed the recuperation cycle.
- By skin-to-skin contact
- By touching a contaminated surface
Track – 18: Laser Eye Surgery
LASIK or Lasik (laser-aided situ keratomileusis), usually alluded to as laser eye a medical procedure or laser vision amendment, is a kind of refractive medical procedure for the rectification of nearsightedness, hyperopia, and astigmatism. LASIK medical procedure is performed by an ophthalmologist laser or microkeratome to reshape the eye's cornea to work on visual keenness. For a great many people, LASIK gives a durable option in contrast to eyeglasses or contact focal points. LASIK is commonly like another careful remedial strategy, photorefractive keratectomy (PRK), and LASEK. All address progresses over spiral keratotomy in the careful treatment of refractive blunders of vision. For patients with moderate to high nearsightedness or flimsy corneas which can't be treated with LASIK and PRK, the phakic intraocular focal point is another option.
Track – 19: Ophthalmic Genetics and Gene Therapy
Quality treatment is an exploratory strategy that utilizes qualities to treat or forestall sicknesses. In not so distant future, this method may incorporate a specialist supplanting the transformed quality with a solid duplicate of the quality to the patient to fix the irregularities rather than medical procedure or medications. Ophthalmic hereditary qualities are a part of ophthalmology which alludes to the field where the hereditary foundation of infection is investigated. Leber Congenital Amaraius(LCA) is an inherited hereditary sickness that causes youth visual impairment. Researchers and specialists have treated this infection with the assistance of quality treatment.
